Black Rock Halloween 2011

BOO!!

Okay, so not too scary, but they sure had fun dressing up for school! Halloween just isn't what it used to bo though. They are taking all the fun out of what should be a fun holiday. They barely got to do a parade, no treats were allowed, no makeup, and the had to change out of their costumes. But they had fun regardless. 

Pumpkin Patch 2011

 Rock Creek Farm

This year we went to a new farm. The kids had fun running through the 

fields looking for the perfect pumpkin. We got to cut it off the vine ourselves. For

 and after pumpkin snack we got some yummy apple cider. 

1st Day of School

It's That Time of Year

Isaac and Briana will be part of the Inaugural class at Red Hawk Elementary School.

Isaac will be in 3rd grade with Ms. Durst for his teacher

Briana will be in Kindergarten with Mrs. Denton for her teacer

New Bike

After much deliberation, and multiple askings I finally broke down and got Isaac a bike. It's a 20" BMX bike. He just loves it and rode it from the time we got home with it until it was time to come in for bed.

Independence Poppers

I got some of those poppers that aren't really fireworks for the kids this year. They had a blast popping them! Griffin tho didn't like it at all. This year was his first 4th of July and tho he was scared he did quite well. 

There's Just Somethin...

About a boy and his dog!

Isaac and griffin are two peas in a pod. They love to snuggle and Griffin gives Isaac lots of kisses every night before bed. He tells me all the time how glad he is that we have a dog.



Mother's Day 2011

 I was lucky this year and got to leave class to go spend some time with Isaac at school for their Mother's day celebration. They read teo poems that they wrote, we had cupcakes and lemonade, they showed us some artwork, and then I got to have lunch with my boy...it was fun! Can't wait to do it with both kiddos next year :)

Easter 2011

I took the kids to an Easter Egg Hunt that this local church was putting on...They had sno-cones, popcorn,  cotton candy, and hot dogs, and Briana even won a 16" bicycle!!!  ...that she now rides without training wheels...what a big girl!!!

Halloween 2010

Isaac always likes to be something scary...this year it was a vampire. Briana was going to be a dead princess Jasmine, but at the last minute decided to glam it up instead. I even dressed up for work this year...everyone thought i was really sick so i must have done an ok make-up job.

First day of School - 2nd Grade

Headed for the bus on the first day of school. His teach is Mrs. McGuirk. He was super excited and really likes his teacher!

A New Addition...

GRIFFIN

We finally broke down, joined the masses and got a dog. He is a Brussels Griffon. He is 8 weeks old and weighs in at a whopping 2.9 pounds. Full grown he will weigh about 12 pounds and be 8 inches tall. He's hypoallergenic which is great for Isaac, and a super loving, mellow little guy.

The kids were surprised, as you can tell by the picture below. They were so excited - they have been begging for a dog for a couple years now. We are already in love with this sweet little guy and look forward to many years with him!

Easter '10

Easter was pretty relaxing as usual. The kids went on a egg hunt at the house first thing in the morning followed by a neighborhood egg hunt. Afterwards we went to a friends home for dinner and some hang-out time.

Spring Break 2010

Sno-Man

Another snow day in Colorado... this time it was great snow for a snowman...the kids and David had a blast making him!! Sadly he melted 2 days later :(

Submarine

Isaac the scientist built this "submarine" using his imagination and some things he found around the house. How smart is he?!

Star Wars

Since getting a really fun Star Wars game for the Wii Isaac has been obsessed with Darth Vader. He drew this mask and taped it on so that he could BE Darth Vader.
