Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas! Santa came and he left great gifts...and he drank his chocolate milk and ate his gingersnap cookies that we left out for his enjoyment!

The kids were very pleased with what he left for them. Isaac got a cool R/C Private Jet and a plasmacar, and Briana got a Talking Princess Vanity Table and a Plasmacar.

They enjoyed opening each and every single gift they got this year - thank you to all of you for your great gifts! We loved everything!

We were joined by Daniel, Tiffany, Joylyn and Averi for Christmas dinner and more gift opening.

We had a great dinner, and hung out and played games and chatted. The kids had a blast and enjoyed every single minute they got to play together.

Tiff and the girls spent the night so that we could go shopping this afternoon and get some good deals...and a dress for her to wear to her brother's wedding. We had a great time and enjoyed spending the holiday with the people we love most...our family!!

The Ring

A Diamond In The...Cookie?

To understand this post you have to realize that when David proposed to me he did so by placing my ring in a Panda Express fortune cookie. So here's the story:

While in Arizona for Thanksgiving David and I had our first overnight stay without our kids. He surprised me with a beautiful 1 ct. diamond ring for our anniversary. For those who don't know, as poor college students we decided it was get a diamond and wait, or get a CZ (cubic zirconia) and get married....we chose to get married.

So, I knew what I was getting for Christmas just not exactly how it looked. We decided that we would have the stone placed in my original wedding band. So It was a little bit of a surprise when I finally got to open it. It's gorgeous! And it feels great to have my wedding band back!

3rd Annual Cookies For Santa Extravaganza

Isaac thought Santa should have Gingersnap cookies this year and we all agreed.

The McKee kids came over as is our annual tradition, and we made some yummy cookies to leave out for the big guy tonight with hopes that they will have some great gifts waiting for them when they wake in the morning!

The Angel and the Tree

I know Christmas can be frustrating not to mention exhausting, so here is a little story to get you through the holiday!

When four of Santa's elves got sick, the trainee elves did not produce toys as fast as the regular ones, and Santa began to feel the pre-Christmas pressure.Then Mrs Claus told Santa her Mother was coming to visit, which stressed Santa even more.When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two others had jumped the fence and were out, Heaven knows where.Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked, the toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered.Frustrated, Santa went in the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered the elves had drank all the cider and hidden the liquor. In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider jug, and it broke into hundreds of little glass pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found the mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the broom.Just then the doorbell rang, and irritated Santa marched to the door, yanked it open, and there stood a little angel with a great big Christmas tree.The angel said very cheerfully, 'Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn't this a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?'

And so began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree.

It's that time of year again.

We finally got our house all decked out for Christmas.

The kids are really excited! Briana especially, she has no idea that you ask Santa for things, but she tells everyone that Santa is coming and he is going to bring her toys. Isaac knows exactly what he is asking for this year. They have been great kids, so I'm sure that Santa won't dissapoint them!

They Made the Nice List!!

Briana was so excited, and Isaac was so grumpy when they woke up Christmas morning to see what Santa brought them. They loved everything that they were given(thanks everyone). Here are just a couple of the many video clips that we took. I know there are a lot of pictures, but trust me, I tried to post mostly the highlights.

Here is miss Nani IN her dolly stroller, but she didn't go it alone- she had her new baby with her.

It's not truly Christmas Day without the Costco Ham. We had a delicious dinner. Daniel and Tiff and the girls were supposed to come up, but couldn't due to the White Christmas that we woke up to here in Colorado. They came up the next day and ate leftovers with us, played games, and ate chocolate fondue. We'll have to make that a tradition!

Gingerbread House 2007

A little late this year, but we finally got our gingerbread house done!

The Kids were so excited...but mostly for the candy.

Briana ate her fair share , but she did attempt to put on a few pieces before going to bed.

I can't wait to see the smile on her face when she sees the house in the morning!!

Christmas 2006

They Must Have Made Santa's NICE List!!

Santa came and brought the kids some neat stuff. He really enjoyed the cookies and milk that Isaac and Briana left oour for him. We forgot to leave carrots for the reindeer.

Briana was as excited as a 4-month old can be for her first Christmas!

Isaac was so excited that Santa brought him an Airport for his big jet, just like he asked for. He also got a big commuter train that goes around the airport, so that the people can get to the airport and ride on the big jet.

Santa brought Briana a cute little jumper so that she can exercise all those little growing muscles and play to her hearts content. It not only bounces, but the seat spins 360 degrees so that she can play with the toys on all sides. I love Baby Einstein!!

He also brought her a Drop 'N' Roar Dinosaur. You drop the balls in it, and it plays music and makes dinosaur sounds. She a bit too little for it now, but it won't be long!! Isaac will show her how to do it!!
