An Egg-ceptional Hunt

Our Community Center held their 1st Annual Egg Hunt tonight.
The kids (mostly Isaac of course) were super excited to go hunting for Easter Eggs. We got there 30 minutes early, which was boring but good because there were people lined up outside to get in and there weren't near enough eggs for all the kids that showed up. They had a great time!

BOOKWORM

With a brand new library practically across the street I have been reading a lot! I love to read! I borrowed a few more James Patterson novels, but most recently I borrowed "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer from a friend. A lot of the ladies at my church have read the books (it's the first in a 3 book series if you didn't know) and have been raving about them a TON. So I thought I would see what all the hype was about.

The book started out REAL SLOW and I was about ready to put it aside but was promised that it would get better and by golly it did! I have to say it wasn't quite the romantic heart stopper that I was lead to believe that it would be but it was a very good, descriptive book. Needless to say I await being able to read how the saga of Bella and Edward will continue and finish.

In the meantime I started reading "The Other Boleyn Girl" by Philippa Gregory. It is a very slow read so far but it is good. Knowing some but little about the history of King Henry VIII it is interesting to read this authors fictional take on what went on behind the scenes. I've read 220 of 661 pages so I still have a lot to read...

From the Hand of Isaac

Thanks to the Leapster from Mom, Dad and Amma, and the video that Uncle Gavin and Aunt Becki gave him Isaac has been kicking some serious butt at learning his letters. (David wrote the words on a separate sheet and then Isaac wrote them himself) Here is a sample of what he is has learned already:

Tornado
Octopus
Slide
Flowery

Family Photo...Isaac Style

Isaac drew this family picture two weeks ago in primary.

Isaac says they are, from left to right: Briana, Mommy, Isaac and Daddy.

He is sooo good!!

Tis video pretty much speaks for itself...literally.

Waneka Lake Park

We had gone to this park with a group of moms & kids from our church, and the kids liked it so much we went back Saturday with David. We had a nice picnic on the grass. Briana was glued to the slides almost the whole time. Isaac however found a few friends and together they discovered a "Secret Passage" which is where he spent most of his time. Then we took a walk around the lake before we left. It was a gorgeous day to spend at the park!

Be sure to check out the videos at the bottom of this post.

Sweet & Sassy Miss "B"

I just thought this was a super cute picture of her and had to post it.

Hairstylin'

I have to say the I have been STOKED that Briana has quite a bit of hair. I was so excited this past week when I was able to get it into pigtales as well as a ponytail. She just looks so cute!

18 Months

Such a doll and a sweet little spirit. I can't believe that she's this old already! She has such a delightful personality and she amazes me more every day! But we all know what it means when babies hit the 18 month mark....(see following post)

Nursery Time!!

She did GREAT her first day in nursery at church! This is her getting ready. She has her new little "pack-pack" for her snacks and she's good to go. She's definately a Child of God!

Mess Maker

I suddenly noticed that things got a little TOO quiet so I went to check and see where Briana was...well I found her. She had taken out all my pantyliners and unwraped them. What a silly little stinkbug!!!
