Bike Crash = Big Ouchie!!

So it was bound to happen right?! I mean this is ME we're talking about here...
I crashed on my bike a couple days ago. I actually ended up in urgent care b/c the darn thing was getting infected.
Needless to Say it hurts superbad!! I also bruised my left leg - So bad in fact that I damaged the nerves around my femoral artery and my upper thigh has been numb since I crashed. The doctor said it could take a few weeks for the feeling to come back.
I guess the moral of this story is BE MORE CAREFUL and make sure that from now on I use my brakes properly.

Happy 2nd Birthday Briana!!

We celebrated Briana's 2nd birthday at Nana's house in Utah this year. We invited aunts, uncles and cousins over for some cake and ice cream. A Strawberry Shortcake cake to be exact. She was so excited to blow out her candles. She even sang along to her very own happy birthday song.

(Sorry Becki...too funny...couldn't resist!!)

Hogle Zoo
Nana treated us to a trip to Hogle Zoo. The kids had a blast even though it was very hot! You can't really tell, but Briana's shirt says "The Birthday Princess...it's all about me!"

At It Again!!

We took another trip to Utah. David and I hit my 10 yr HS reunion while we were there (okay so that was pretty much the whole reason for going out there). The reunion wasn't that great. My graduating class was of 900+ students. Only about 200 showed up to the reunion. (Sorry Tay, I didn't take the camera, so no pictures). We also celebrated Briana's 2nd birthday while we were there. (See above post) We had a good time, and David was able to relax, which he needed. For the first leg of the trip the kids were a little crazy, and then they were good. The last leg was the opposite due to the fact that they were ready to be out of the car and home.
Here are a few pictures of the trip there and back.

Here is my cute little family at a rest stop in Echo, Utah

And this is what David is pointing to. Beautiful!!

The 4 of us. Awwww!!!

Briana fell asleep (for about 30 mins) and Isaac was making cool shapes with his fingers.

First Day...

Every one has a “First Day”
When they feel sad and all alone.
It can be scary
When you’re out on your own.
Take my hankie, dry your tears.
You’ll find lots of things to do
And you’ll probably make new friends.
I promise we’ll be together
When the school day ends.
Here comes the teacher,
Blow your nose and be brave.
Come on now wipe your eyes,
This is no way to behave.
Well, good morning teacher.
We really must beg your pardon.
No, Mommy and Daddy don’t always act this way.
But it’s my first day of KINDERGARTEN!!

I know this post is super long, but I couldn't decide which photos to leave out, and he is our first to go to school. Doesn't he look handsome for his first day of Kindergarten?
He was so excited and ready to go. He didn't put up a fuss, and barely said
good bye.

This is his teacher, Mrs Vogel-Pitts. She is real nice!

We are supposed to walk the kids to the classroom the first week, and we got a couple cute pictures. I forgot how small everything is in kindergarten!

Our big guy rides the bus home every day. It drops him off in front of our community park.

Briana missed Isaac and was excited to see him and gave him a big hug after he got off the bus.

We took him out to dinner to celebrate this BIG occasion and he chose to go to the Aquarium for dinner. They have a nice restaurant where you can watch fish swim by as you eat. They also have a cool play area.

Congrats to our sweet Isaac on this very special day!! You are such a big boy now and we love you so very much!!

Museum of Nature & Science

I took the kids to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. It was free day so it was VERY crowded, but I wanted to check it out before I bought an annual pass, and I am glad that I did. It was neat, but not a place I want to buy a pass for. We will stick with going on the free days that they have 5-6 times a year.
The kids enjoyed seeing all the animals, the rocks, the planets, the dinosaurs, and Isaac especially liked the mummy exhibit.

Isaac wanted me to take a picture of the baby seals, b/c they were just like him and Briana.
How sweet is that boy!? You don't think that he loves his baby sister do you?

ROCKIES 'n' RAIN

We aquired some seats to a ROCKIES game tonight and decided that it would in our best interest to leave Briana with a sitter (many many thanks to Brian & Aileen) and we took Isaac's buddy Johnny with us instead.
Here are the boys pre-game all excited with hats and mitts, ready to go:

Here are the few pictures we got before the 40 minute rain delay:

We ended up leaving the game early due to some tired (and mildly bored) boys. But they did have a lot of fun!! They thought the absolute best part of the night was taking the bike coach from the stadium to the lot where we parked.

Wildcat Update...

With only 10 days until K day, here's a quick update:
David and I went to the school for a parents orientation. We got to meet the principal, the kindergarten teachers, see the classroom, and get the lowdown on what to expect Isaac's first year of school.
Isaac's teacher will be Mrs. Rebecca Vogel-Pitts . She seems real nice. And the principal is great! They also had class lists up, so we got a sneak peak at who will be in Isaac's class. His buddy Johnny will be in his class, as well as get this -
2 , yes 2 other Isaac's!!
FYI: They are the Black Rock Elementary Wildcats

Picnic on the Patio

I just wanted to again thank Carrie & Ryan for watching the kids for us so that we could take a night off!!
We had fun watching 2 of yours yesterday.
The kids were really excited about being able to eat a picnic lunch outside on the patio.
