Who Is It?

I Bet You Can't See Him...
Directions: Stare at these pictures for 2 minutes and see if you
can find the LITTLE BOY hidden in the camouflage...

Isaac started putting these stickers on his body and then asked me to help. When all was said and done, he had 6 sheets of sstickers on his body. He ran over to the wall, and stood real still, thinking that we couldn't see him.
Thanks for the stickers Tay!! They brought Isaac a lot of joy!!

The Great Sock Switch

Isaac put on David's socks and thought that it was hilarious!
He then decided that it would be even funnier to have David put on his socks.
He wears Davids socks every chance he gets.

More Snow!!!!

The Blizzard....Part II
Yes it's true! We got another foot (give or take) of snow!! Which wouldn't have been so bad
except that it was almost exactly 1 week after the first blizzard.
It didn't snow near as bad, but it just added to the other 4 feet still on the ground.

This time it was my turn to shovel. I haven't shoveled snow in at least 8 years. It has been a welcome change for us to have snow rather than the FREEZING RAIN in Portland.
(Gav- I know it's not the best picture, but I think I look just like you in this one!!)

Fun Fotos

I just HAD to post this picture!!
Sidnee gave these to Isaac for Christmas.
They are called "Giggle Goggles"
He thought they were the coolest thing, and didn't want to take them off.

A couple more pictures taken by Isaac. He is such a good photographer!
I think he's going to be the guy in the F-16 taking the pictures in the air!!

'Twas The Night Before Christmas....

Our family tradition on Christmas Eve is to watch a Christmas movie, put out the cookies that we made for Santa, we then read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and go to bed and wait for Santa to come.

Christmas 2006

They Must Have Made Santa's NICE List!!

Santa came and brought the kids some neat stuff. He really enjoyed the cookies and milk that Isaac and Briana left oour for him. We forgot to leave carrots for the reindeer.
Sorry Rudolph!!

Briana was as excited as a 4-month old can be for her first Christmas!

Isaac was so excited that Santa brought him an Airport for his big jet, just like he asked for. He also got a big commuter train that goes around the airport, so that the people can get to the airport and ride on the big jet.

Santa brought Briana a cute little jumper so that she can exercise all those little growing muscles and play to her hearts content. It not only bounces, but the seat spins 360 degrees so that she can play with the toys on all sides. I love Baby Einstein!!

He also brought her a Drop 'N' Roar Dinosaur. You drop the balls in it, and it plays music and makes dinosaur sounds. She a bit too little for it now, but it won't be long!! Isaac will show her how to do it!!

Our thanks to Santa and everyone else for all the great gifts that we got this Christmas!!!

Cookies For Santa

Every Christmas we make home-made sugar cookies for Santa. Isaac couldn't wait to help me this year! Even Daddy helped us frost them this year. Usually I make home-made frosting as well, but this year I didn't take the time.
We cut out stars, stockings, candy canes, gingerbread men and trees.
I think Isaac ate more frosting than he put on the cookies. He is so big now that he frosts the cookies all by himself.
Daddy, the artist, combined colors to make his own, and then swirled the colors so we ended up with some psychedelic cookies.
It was so much fun. Isaac was sad when we ran out of cookies to frost.

P.S. Hey Tiff I remembered what happened last time, so this time I 1/2'd the recipe!!

Once There Was A Sno-Man

On Christmas Eve day we decided that we needed to make good use out of all the snow in the backyard, so David and Isaac made a snowman.
We heard that the snow doesn't get real good until closer to the end of winter, but decided to try it anyway. It was so windy and cold that most of the way through Isaac gave up and came inside. Poor David was left out there to finish him alone. He rolled snow for about an hour, and wasn't getting very far, so the snowman has a really tiny head and a big body. (Very smiliar to a picture of David that I have seen somewhere!)

Needless to say, he looks pretty weird. David couldn't even get eyes or a nose to stay stuck in him. The snow just kept crumbling. So our poor little snowman is naked with no face!! :(

There is always next time!!

It's Been How Long???

5 Years Already?
That's right!! 5 years for us! Wow!! We couldn't celebrate ON our anniversary
(which is on the 21st) because we had a blizzard and the roads were closed, so we celebrated on the 23rd. Daniel and Tiffany watched Isaac, (thanks a ton guys!) and we went to Littleton and had a nice dinner at Rock Bottom Brewery. It was very nice and relaxing.

Mommy's Little Elf

Isaac honestly picked out a Christmas present for Briana, and then insisted on helping me wrap it. He then wrote on it "To Bri-nana Love Isaac" (in Isaac scribble of course)
Can you say Awwww?!

The Calm After The Storm

Blizzard of 2006
On Wednesday the 20th we had a huge storm blow into town. It was so neat to see, although you really couldn't see anything. It was nice for David b/c he got 2 days off work. Well, actually 1.5 days b/c driving home wednesday took him almost 5 hours!!!
We were very glad that we hit up Columbia Sportswear before we left Oregon and got some snow clothes. All except Briana. So she and I stayed in the house and tidied up and made sure that the guys had some HOT COCOA when they came in.
Isaac was so excited to get all dressed up. Then he had to patiently wait for Dad to get ready.
A few minutes later, with shovels in hand, they braved the snow!!
They had a BLAST!!

We had planned a night out with Daniel and Tiffany watching Isaac for our 5 year wedding anniversary, but it didn't happen b/c the roads were closed so we couldn't go down there.

As you can tell by Tiff's site, they got a decent amount of snow down there too!!

The Rath the Blizzard Left Behind...

The Blizzard left a ton of snow!!
(About 28 inches if the beautiful white stuff)

We were so excited, especially Isaac.
It was quite a change from the freezing rain that we were used to in Oregon.
I didn't get any photos of it actually snwing, b/c the visibility was so terrible that you wouldn't even be able to tell what was what.
But here are the pictures of the aftermath:

This was the view outside our front door! WOW!! We had to shovel some to even get out the door. When we opened the door a ton fell inside.

Inbetween work they had to play!!

Isaac had so much fun rolling in it and making snowballs. He just kept throwing them at David.

The snow drifts were as tall as Isaac, maybe taller.
But it left the coolest wave!!

Afterwards...

After a long day shoveling and playing in the snow with Dad, Isaac decided to relax and unwind by eating "baby oranges" and watching "HE-MAN" (yes, the 80's classic cartoon)

House Of Sugar

As is now our family tradition, we put together a Gingerbread house 1 week before Christmas. Isaac did most of the work this year. He's so good at decorating. Briana just loved it, as you can tell by the smile on her face.

ZOO Lights

We went to the Denver Zoo to see the lights. Briana and Averi were the warmest of any of us. Briana and her big eyes took in as much as they could until she fell asleep.
What a sweety!!

Isaac and Joylyn were super excited to ride on the carousel. Isaac rode on the
"Panda Express Pooh Bear" as he calls them.
We got a couple of good family pictureS, ther than the dumb kid who decided
to step into OUR picture!!

And here is a RARE photo of just David and Me.
