It's been a while since we had anything to post, but alas, when I go away with the kids David has a little time to play. So visit the home blog if you want to see what he did:

Boulder Bike Hippie

With gas prices so high last year David decided that an cost efficient way to get to work would be by bicycle. So he bought this really nice Tom Ritchie road bike. He rode it a lot last year, but has been patiently waiting for the weather to get nice this year (sadly I didn't get any pictures lastyear). His ride into Boulder is about 13 miles each way, and he plans to ride it 2-3 times a week. It's an economical way to travel and a great source of exercise!

SDSU College of Sciences Class of 2009

For those who may not know, after three and a half years of hard work, as well as writing and defending a thesis, David finally graduated! He conferred the degree of Masters of Science in Regulatory Affairs from San Diego State University.
We took a big trip to California in May (hence the previous posted of graduation, Disneyland, etc...) so that he could walk with his class and celebrate this big accomplishment. We just got these pictures in the mail, and as soon as the diploma arrives it will be "official"
Who knows if he is done or not, there are tiny rumblings of a PhD, but only time will tell.

We love you and are so proud of you!!

To The Man In My Life

I would like to take a moment to thank the most important man in my life:
My sweet, loving husband for being a great companion and terrific father.
Thank you also for our two beautiful, wonderful children.

Happy Father's Day !!

A High 5 + 1 Thumbs Up

That means Isaac just turned 6!!

To celebrate the big day we had a party. Isaac invited a few of his friends. Including my 2, there were 18 kids here at the house. We had a great time! We busted a pinata in the basement, sang happy birthday and ate cake - in the backyard WITHOUT jackets, and then opened gifts and played a little more. Isaac was excited that all his friends came. David made the now famous airplane birthday cake, and we also had cupcakes. I had to post the picture of Averi b/c she was adorable! She was so obsessed with the balloons that she carried them around almost the whole time she was here, so we let her take a few of them home. No one cried. Everyone got along great. Overall the party was a success.

Dinner at the DT Aquarium

To celebrate birthdays in our house we go out to dinner. The birthday person gets to choose where they want to go. Isaac wanted to go to...the Aquarium! So off we went. He loved it. He ate all of his dinner, and was ready for dessert. They give a free dish of ice cream with a candle for birthdays there, which totally made his night. Then we went out to the play place and let the kids dance, climb, run and just play. Isaac's really looking forward to his party on Saturday!

He's Having A Birthday!

David hit the big 33 this year! The kids wanted to get him something special, so they each made him a birthday card, and we went to the mall b/c they wanted to get him some Godiva chocolates. They were super excited for him to open them. As soon as they were opened, each of them took a piece and ate it! David and I were laughing so hard. As you can tell by the pictures, they enjoyed them!

Since it was Daddy's special day, Briana decided that she would really pamper her daddy by feeding him dinner...literally! She fed him! It was so cute!

We even made David a cake. It was a French vanilla cake with orange frosting and some sprinkles. It was really quite good! The best part though was the kids singing happy birthday.

Ugly Christmas Sweater

Covidien holds their annual Christmas Potluck Luncheon about a week before Christmas, and David wears his "lovely" sweater. He has two that he rotates wearing every other year. This year I made him some fruity pebble/rice krispie treats to take, so he must have looked hilarious when he showed up with his sweater and his goodies!
It's great being married to a guy with a sense of humor!

Halloween @ Covidien

*I almost forgot the best pictures from Halloween this year*
David was RICK JAMES!! You might know him from the song "Super Freak". One of the people David works with lived nextdoor/down the street from him and aquired this outfit that did indeed belong to the famous Father of Funk who died in 2004. So David is wearing a "super freaky" piece of rock history!!
Here is the original album cover :

When I showed Tiff this picture she had no clue it was David, but had no idea who it was.

In this one David looks like a mexican wrestler. (other than the tattoo shit underneath)
