Dressin' Up

My kids LOVE to dress up. Today it's Santa Clause and the Chef.

Briana has to use Isaac's costumes b/c she doesn't yet have any of her own. (hint towards birthday gifts in August) These two are like 2 peas in a pod!

Isaac is home sick from school today, so we are taking it easy playing dress up and having a movie marathon.

Hoppy Easter 2009

The kiddos had a great Easter! Briana squealed every time she found an egg. The kids talked for a week about how the Easter BUnny left them each a $2 bill in a gold/silver egg.

Bomberman Buddies

Isaac and Briana played Bomberman for about an hour the other day. Briana mostly just held the controller, but she loves hanging out with her big brother!

Spidey and Venom

They dressed up and played like this for a good half hour... even though the costume was way to big for her. Briana loves her big brother and tries to do everything he does.

Helping Hands

Isaac wasn't feeling good the other night, so Briana thought she would help "her Isaac" and help him lay in her bed b/c it's so cozy. So with a little help from Dad they carried him into her room and set him in her bed. Can you feel the love?

3rd Annual Cookies For Santa Extravaganza

Isaac thought Santa should have Gingersnap cookies this year and we all agreed.

The McKee kids came over as is our annual tradition, and we made some yummy cookies to leave out for the big guy tonight with hopes that they will have some great gifts waiting for them when they wake in the morning!

Happy Halloween 2008

Here is our scary beyond scary Dementor, and our cute little Storybook Witch.

Don't they look great? They are ready to trick-or-treat, they are just waiting for one thing.....

for their favorite Colorado cousins to get here so they can party!!!

Tiff and the girls came up to trick-or-treat with Isaac and Briana. Daniel showed up for some fun too.We had a Jack 'o' Lantern pizza dinner, and then it was time to hit the neighborhood.

David and I got in on the action this year. I was a witch and David was a tattooed rock star.

Trunk or Treat

We went to the trunk-or-treat at the community center here in Erie.

The kids had a good time even though they ran out of candy within 15 minutes, and prizes for the games too. Briana loves the Chick-Fil-A cow (they support everything out here).

They turned the kids play area into a spooky haunted house.

Isaac was excited to run into his buddy Keegan, I mean Captain Jack Sparrow.

Family Carnival

With David staying late at work to work on his thesis the kids and I decided to go to the Family Fun Fest at Erie Middle School. The night started out with a hot dog dinner.

After dinner we played a few carnival games with the tickets that we bought.

Isaac was kind of nervous to try the Flytrap (Velcro wall) but he had fun as you can tell by the video clip below:

Overall I think the kids had fun, but they did get a little bored and were ready to go home.

Popsicle Day In Setember?

That's right!

Popsicles are still melting on the sidewalk on the last day of September...that's how warm it still is here in Colorado!

Museum of Nature & Science

I took the kids to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. It was free day so it was VERY crowded, but I wanted to check it out before I bought an annual pass, and I am glad that I did. It was neat, but not a place I want to buy a pass for. We will stick with going on the free days that they have 5-6 times a year.

The kids enjoyed seeing all the animals, the rocks, the planets, the dinosaurs, and Isaac especially liked the mummy exhibit.

Isaac wanted me to take a picture of the baby seals, b/c they were just like him and Briana.

How sweet is that boy!? You don't think that he loves his baby sister do you?

Day @ Denver Zoo

In order to give David some uninterrupted time to work on the backyard I took the kids to the zoo last Saturday.

We got there at around 10:30 in the morning at it was a balmy 75*. It was sunny and warm but not hot...yet. Almost all the animals were out and about until we were about ready to go. We had a great time. Later that day we went to our community BBQ and saw our neighbor jump out of a plane and parachute into the park. Isaac thought it was so cool!! After that we went swimming.

It was a very busy, fun day!!

The First Popsicle of the Summer!!!

The kids thoroughly enjoyed the BOMB POP popsicles that Daddy brought home as a surprise on a very hot day.

Kimono Kids

David brought the kids home some cool kimono/samurai type pj's.
