ACROBAT

Isaac has learned how to do somersaults, with the help of a couple cushions and pillows. (Trust us, they are for his protection!!)He is always hanging from or off things and balancing himself anyway that he can. We really need to get him into gymnastics.
(It's kind of hard to see, because he is doing it right where the sun is coming in the window overhead.)

10 Months And Growing

Our little princess is 10 months old already! And what a big girl she is! Where does the time go?

Bookworms

We went and got Isaac his very own library card and checked out a few books a week or so ago. We've been trying to get better at reading to the kids. Daddy is no exception. They love it when we read to them!

Videos

Okay, so I know it's slight overkill with the videos, but I wanted to post them while they are still relevant. I have had a little bit of trouble with google and blogger posting them, but I think I worked out all the kinks, other than the one that I had to delete. Just have patience with me! I am a mom that loves to show off my beautiful babies, what can I say?

Turbo Crawler

Briana is a TURBO CRAWLER...don't belive me??? See for yourselves...

Just Like Mom

Isaac loves to exercise on the elliptical machine. He can get it going pretty fast. As you can tell by the video he can also work it backwards, working his glutes. He just wants to be fit. Is that a crime?

Stair Master

Briana loves to climb the stairs! She's been doing it for a while, but always stops when I pull out the camera. I was finally able to snap a tiny video if it. She's so fast at it, and so far hasn't taken a tumble. (knock on carpet) She hasn't figured out how to get down yet. She tries to go head first, but luckily I am always there to help.

When she gets to the top, she looks out of the banister and gives me this HUGE smile!
You can see her two front teeth in this picture. Not missing these things is what makes being a stay-at-home MOM worht every second.

Our Little Sleepybug

Briana crashed in her crib in the cutest position.
Her little toes are almost grabbing the bar on the crib. She sometimes uses those toes as a second set of hands. So cute!

Father's Day Swim

With the 97 degree weather on Father's Day the kids and David really wanted to go swimming. We headed to the pool in our community. The kids had so much fun!! Isaac is such a strong swimmer, and Briana has just started working in her "gills". They just love the water!
I got a video of the kids with our camera posted below. Sorry it has no sound, but David kind of likes it.It reminds him of the old silent home videos that they show on
"Wonder Years" and "Christmas Vacation".

Isaac the Octopus

Isaac shows us how he swims just like an Octopus. He is the best swimmer ever!! Briana is learning fast. She already tries (unintentionally I think) to put her face in the water. Hey, she wants to keep up with her biggest, bestest brother!

Happy DADDY Day!!

11 Smartest Things Ever Said
About Fatherhood
Compiled By Tia Albright, Men's Health

1. "It is admirable for a man to take his son fishing, but there is a special place in heaven for the father who takes his daughter shopping." -John Sinor
2. "They don't grade fathers, but if your daughter's a stripper, you f—d up!" -Chris Rock
3. "Sherman made the terrible discovery that men make about their fathers sooner or later... that the man before him was not an aging father but a boy, a boy much like himself, a boy who grew up and had a child of his own and, as best he could... adopted a role called 'Being a Father' so that his child would have something mythical and infinitely important: a Protector, who would keep a lid on all the chaotic and catastrophic
possibilities of life." -Tom Wolfe, The Bonfire of the Vanities
4. "Whatever you are, be a good one." -Abraham Lincoln
5. "My mother protected me from the world, and my father threatened me with it." -Quentin Crisp
6. "There must be many fathers around the country who have experienced the cruelest, most crushing rejection of all: Their children have ended up supporting the wrong team." -Nick Hornby
7. "My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say, 'You're tearing up the grass.' 'We're not raising grass,' Dad would reply. 'We're raising boys.' " -Harmon Killebrew
8. "You don't put kids under surveillance: It might frighten you. Parents should sit tall in the saddle and look upon their troops with a noble and benevolent and extremely nearsighted gaze." -Garrison Keillor
9. "A man that doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man." -Marlon Brando as Don Corleone in The Godfather
10. "When I was a boy of 14 my father was so ignorant that I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in only 7 years." -Mark Twain
11. "Certain is it that there is no kind of affection so purely angelic as of a father to a daughter. In love to our wives there is desire; to our sons, ambition; but to our daughters there is something which there are no words to express." -Joseph Addison

Briana's Favorite Spot

Is high atop her daddy's shoulders.
She loves it up here as you can tell by the smile on her cute little face. What an AWESOME DADDY she has!!!

Like Mother Like Daughter

Briana is a total MOMMY'S GIRL and I have to say, I LOVE IT!!!

Peek - A - Boo

Can you find me?
Briana loves to play peek-a-boo, especially with Isaac. Lately she covers her own head and just starts to giggle. She gets so happy and smiley when you "find her".
What a doll!!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Colorado Rockies vs Tampa Bay Devil Ray's

David's boss gave him these tickets for being such a great employee. Not only did the Rockies WIN 12-2. We had a blast! (And great seats!!) It was a great family night out. We even got free jersey t-shirts. As you can tell, we took Briana's booster seat and strapped it to the stadium seat. It worked out great. We were able to relax, and she had a fun time as well. We hope to be able to go again!

Thanks Charlie!!

Sticky Icky Cotton Candy

What kid doesn't like cotton candy? Isaac enjoyed it a lot!!!
Briana even got to taste it.
She really liked the flavor, but she wasn't too sure about the texture and the stickiness.

Excuse Me - Waiter!

Isaac's newest thing is being our own personal waiter.
Tonight at dinner he had David sit down, took his plate over to the counter, and placed each individual ingredient on it. He then brought over 2 utensils and told David that the spoon was for the chili and the fork was for everything else. After that he took his glass and filled it with water from the dispenser in the fridge. He then gave his Dad a big kiss.
If you can't tell, we had haystacks for dinner.

Cozy Baby

I had just pulled the towels out of the dryer and thrown them on the floor to fold them and David decided to sit Briana in the middle of them. She sat there for a good couple minutes- with a huge smile on her face. She enjoyed being snuggly and warm.

Cherub Cheeks

We had just changed her diaper when she crawled to her toy box looking for one last toy to play with before bed. Doesn't she have the cutest little tushie?!
