Oh yeah, School Starts!

6 days!!
Black Rock Elementary opens it doors to students on Wednesday August 19th, 2009. Isaac will be an all-day student in Mrs. Goss' First Grade class. At first he would tell me that he will miss Kindergarten and Mrs. Vogel-Pitts, but I told him that he can stop by and see her, but that he is a big kid now. He will get to ride the bus to and from school, (I am not working as a crossing guard this year) he will get to go all day, play on the BIG KID playground at recess time, and best of all he will get to eat lunch at school each day. He is excited for school to start, meet his new teacher and see who is in his class. We already know of 3 kids on our street that are going to be in his class and he can't wait to see who else will be in there.
So he went to half-day kindergarten? I would love that, but here they only offer full day kindergarten, and preK is half day the beginning of the year then switches to full day in like january. Crazy...I don't think kids should be in school for that long.
